We will pass all the important and significant sites of Budapest mainly the River Danube panorama, Margaret Island, historical centre of Pest, the famous Andrassy Avenue, the Heroes Square and the green Városliget city park. From the middle of the Margaret Bridge you have a wonderful view over Budapest! Your friendly tour guide will tell you a lot about the past and present history of Budapest, deliver information you'll absorb and take with you.
River Danube Panorama – Cycling at the Danube Bank
Driving along the Danube feeling the great appeal of this magic river and getting a panoramic view of the town.
Here you can admire really up close the stunning location of the "Pearl of the Danube" from the area (Danube Promenade), opposite the monumental Parliament see, and see in a 'half-circle' the oldest and most important bridges over the Danube. (The Margaret-, Petőfi-, Elizabeth- and Chain-Bridge)
You will cycle along the Danube towards the newly renovated St. Margaret Bridge to Pest, where you will enjoy the beautiful view of the Danube panorama (world heritage). A magnificent view of the Castle district with the Matthias Church and the former Royal- and the today's Presidential Palace, and see the Gellért Hill as well. Continue to Parliament Square.
One of the largest neo-Gothic building in the world, which was built similar (at a big river) to the English Parliament. See the flag of the Budapest uprising (revolution), the eternal fire in memory of 1956, huge statues and an excellent view over the Danube and the Ethnographic Museum.
Szabadság Tér (Freedom Square)
An impressive place with a large monument to the Russian army. (Directly opposite the American Embassy ....) Here you can feel the spirit of the Hungarian Revolution, the Hungarian uprising and the eventful history. A well-kept park, with flowers and water-games, magnificent building complexes, such as the Hungarian National Bank and the colossal stock exchange frame around the square.
Andrassy Avenue (former Stalin street)
The Boulevard of Budapest with the most beautiful buildings and exclusive shops of Pest. For women only we stop for a second in front of Gucci or Louis Vuitton stores…Furthermore you will see the Opera House, the Music Academy, the Liszt Ferenc Square with its numerous terraces and restaurants, the Oktogon, the House of Terror (harmless during the day) ...and a lot more!
Nagymezö Utca (The so-called “Broadway of Budapest”)
This street is full of bars, clubs and theatres, nearby more popular ‘ruin pubs’.
Városliget (City Park)
Well, finally, it's time for a break! Here you can enjoy the proximity of Vajdahunyad castle at the lake, green spaces, trees and gardens ... yes, and of course a well-deserved break to drink. In the vicinity are the Szechenyi thermal beach & spa, an amusement park and the only Budapest Zoo.
Hősök Tere (Heroes Square)
Big grimy looking statures are looking over this historic square, who were supposed to be Hungarian heroes. There are two big art museums on both sides! In the background is the City Park Lake (winter a man-made ice rink path) of Budapest and the eclectic Vajdahunyad castle complex.
A wonderful place “By the Beautiful Blue Danube River” with one of the most impressive art deco hotels of Budapest, the "Four Seasons" and of course following the Chain Bridge as the symbol of Budapest.
